Warren is a minor character in The Last of Us Part I. He is a member of the Fireflies that was fighting with Marlene as an insurgent in Boston, Massachusetts. During gameplay, Warren is seen being executed by a squad of FEDRA soldiers. Warren belonged to a team that included two other Firefly fighters, but they were all captured, lined up and summarily shot.[1] Warren was the last member of his team to be executed.

Background[]
Not much is known about Warren's background or early life. At some point after the Cordyceps brain infection outbreak, he joined the Fireflies and became friends with the leader, Marlene. During the summer of 2033, he was stationed in the Boston quarantine zone and engaged in urban warfare against the military.
Events of The Last of Us Part I[]
After killing Robert for selling their weapons, Joel and Tess make a deal with Marlene[2] and follow her along the Boston waterfront. They come to an area under a bridge, which is being heavily patrolled by military guards. As they ascend a staircase, they see Warren, on his knees, being held at gunpoint by a soldier. Beside him lie two of his dead comrades. Warren tells the soldier off, and he shoots Warren in the head with his pistol, killing him.
Joel, along with Tess and Marlene, take out the guards in the surrounding area. Marlene approaches Warren's corpse and laments his death, saying a final goodbye to her friend. Joel encourages her to keep moving, as they are short on time.[1]
