Background[]
The Carsons lived in Pittsburgh in 2013, and remained there in the immediate aftermath of the Cordyceps brain infection outbreak. Their house came under threat from looters in the area attempting to steal from them. They defended their house from the attackers, shooting the attackers from their windows. Kyle witnessed the shootout, which was one of several attacks occurring in the area.[1]
Events of The Last of Us Part I[]
Joel can find Kyle's note mentioning the Carsons in the summer of 2033.[2]
