Mr. Alvarez is a minor character who appears in The Last of Us Part II. He is Manny Alvarez's sickly father whom cared for him the best he could under the given circumstances and lived with him at SoundView Stadium in Seattle, Washington.
He cared for his son, speaking with him in the dining hall at the stadium in April, 2038. However, he did not like Manny's beard and joked with Abby Anderson to convince him to shave it off. When they prepared to leave, he implored Abby to keep Manny safe while on patrol.[1]
