Pre- The Last of Us[]
Claire was Eugene Linden's wife, and the mother of their daughter. At some point after Outbreak Day, despite her protests, Eugene abandoned Claire and their daughter to join the Fireflies and serve alongside Tommy.
Events of The Last of Us Part II[]
During their patrol, Ellie and Dina find a photograph of Eugene and his family along with a letter from Claire begging her husband to come home and reconsider his allegiances.[1]
