Andrew was born to an unnamed male survivor and was a brother to Logan and Ori. Sometime after the outbreak of the Cordyceps brain infection, Andrew and his family made their way to Santa Barbara. However, they came under attack from the Rattlers in the area and Andrew and his siblings were killed.
Their father managed to evade capture but was ultimately cornered in a house. Not wishing to become a slave to them, he killed himself in the hope he would be reunited with Andrew and his other children in the afterlife.[1]
