B was a resident of Seattle in September, 2013. He was convinced by Neal Grant to join him, Kyle Peters and Leon Travis in a plan to rob the Westlake Bank, claiming the police would be preoccupied dealing with the rising numbers of sick people.
The four planned the robbery, learning the guards in the bank changed every two hours during the day and every four hours at night. The plan was for Leon to drop Neal, Kyle and B off at the front door at 1 AM. Then, Leon would drive to the back of the bank while the other three attacked and detained the security. Neal would then monitor the front door while Kyle covered the back so B could steal the money from within the vault using the code 60-23-06. Once the money was secured, Neal, Kyle and B would then flee out the back to meet Leon in the van and drive away with the money.[2]
The quartet went ahead with the raid on September 26, unaware they timed their raid with the beginning of the Cordyceps brain infection outbreak. Leon dropped Neal, Kyle and B at the front of the bank. The trio made it inside, detaining the security. B then raided the vault and began to pack as much money as he could carry in their duffel bags. However, a runner arrived and attacked Kyle. B managed to pry it off Kyle, getting bit on his arm in the process, and then killed it with his shotgun in the vault. B then noticed Kyle and Neal had locked him in the vault and fled the bank.
Furious, B wrote a confession outing his friend's names and called them cowards. He plotted to tell the police and the newspapers everything about them he could. However, the police never arrived and B began to succumb to the infection. He began to sweat furiously, and noticed his arm swelling into a red and black color. Hours later, he scribbled in jagged writing how he could feel his mind deteriorating. Fearing what he would become, he shot himself in the head with his shotgun, killing himself in the vault.[3]
Events of The Last of Us Part II[]
In April 2038, Ellie can find B's corpse along with his note mentioning Leon, Kyle and Neal while searching for Abby Anderson in Seattle. She then takes his shotgun to use herself.[1]
