Ellen was a resident of Seattle. She was married to another resident of the city for at least thirty years. After the Cordyceps brain infection outbreak, FEDRA took control within the city and began orchestrating plans to evacuate the city's residents. Ellen was one of those FEDRA planned to move. Ellen packed her belongings and left a note for her partner informing them she did not like that FEDRA was confiscating belongings, leading Ellen to lock some of their supplies in a safe and set the combination to her and her partner's wedding date.[2]
