Jeremy was a character in The Last of Us Part I, mentioned in an artifact which Joel can find.[1] He was a FEDRA soldier in the Pittsburgh QZ.

Background[]
Little is known about Jeremy before the outbreak of the Cordyceps brain infection. At some point before or after the outbreak, he joined the military and served under Captain Mastros in the Pittsburgh quarantine zone.
In time, the residents in Pittsburgh grew restless and violent, believing the military were hoarding the food for themselves as rations became less frequent. Jeremy was involved in fourteen months of warfare against civilian rioters, as well as Fireflies (to a lesser extent).
Jeremy was stationed with Pam to defend Troy Hill. However, several civilians managed to steal weapons and guns and used them to launch a vicious attack on the hill. They also stole a mortar and used their weapons to swiftly defeat Jeremy and his squad, killing at least half of them. The soldiers attempted to flee across the river, but were cut off. Jeremy and Pam did not make it across and were left to fend for themselves against the rioting civilians.[2]
Events of The Last of Us Part I[]
In 2033, Joel can find a FEDRA notepad left by a soldier in Jeremy's squad recounting what happened to the man while traveling through Pittsburgh.[1]
