Sidney is a character mentioned in The Last of Us Part II. She was a resident of Jackson.[1]
Biography[]
Sidney lived in Jackson and was partnered with Adam. She also had a father. Judging from Joel Miller's comments, both Adam and Sidney were still teenagers. The pair both loved their life together in Jackson, but felt they could do more to assist people living outside their community. In 2036, the pair decided to leave Jackson and go out into the world to help people escape from hostile survivors and, in line with the Fireflies' philosophy, perhaps rebuild society in the wider world.
However, while traveling, Sidney and Adam encountered an infected horde within one hour. They escaped but both were bit. Knowing they would turn in to runners within a manner of days, they barricaded themselves in a hotel's restaurant not far from the Mountain View ski resort and opted to kill themselves to avoid succumbing to the Cordyceps brain infection. However, Adam was unable to kill himself and instead shot Sidney dead.[1]
By 2038. Sidney's father was left homeless after a snowstorm caused his house to collapse. On March 3rd, Ellie was walking to the Tipsy Bison when she passed Sidney's father talking to a group of Jackson townspeople. He was panicked about having nowhere to sleep but residents in the town assured him they would help rebuild his house and he could live with them for a while. Her father tried to refuse them but eventually relented, stating everyone in Jackson had been so kind to him after Sidney's death and he appreciated it.[2]
