Sasha lived in Seattle and married a man named Don Carter. Around September 2013, Don fell ill with the Cordyceps brain infection after a runner attacked him. Sasha admitted him to Lakehill Seattle Hospital but she was separated from him as he was quarantined in the basement with several other infected patients. Eventually, Don was locked below, unable to reunite with Sasha before succumbing to the infection and transforming into a clicker. Before turning, he left a note mentioning Sasha and his desire to see her.[2]

In April 2038, Abby Anderson can find Don's note that mentions Sasha while searching the hospital for medical supplies.[1]
