At some point before 2038, Walter joined the Seraphites and lived on the island a short boat ride from Seattle. He became a farmer and grew crops for the island's residents.[1]

In April, 2038, Lucia ordered Marcus to give the backstrap from the latest venison ration to Walter as a reward for good harvests for the group that month.[1]
