Glitter is Gold, also known as Glistering Gold, is one of Johnny's Special Attacks. It first appeared in Guilty Gear X, and was a staple of his moveset until Guilty Gear -Strive-, where it was replaced with Deal.

Overview[]

Johnny tosses a coin at the opponent. If it hits, Mist Finer is leveled up, giving it enhanced properties. Johnny has eight coins per round -- if he runs out, Glitter is Gold cannot be used for the rest of the round.

Guilty Gear XX Λ Core Plus R introduces a second version of the move input using a quarter-circle backward motion. In this version, the coin is launched upwards at a steeper arc.

In Guilty Gear Xrd, the quarter-circle backward version is removed. Johnny's supply of coins can be replenished using Treasure Hunt.
