Elegant Slash is one of Ky Kiske's Special Attacks in EX Mode, debuting in Guilty Gear XX.

It has a variant in Robo-Ky's S-KY-line (カイ電波, Kai-denpa?, lit. MYSTERY Radio Wave), also localized as Strange Electric Wave, first appearing in Guilty Gear XX ♯Reload. It is also used by Robo-Ky II, as one of his equipable moves, in Guilty Gear Isuka.

Overview[]

This attack involves Ky switching his sword to his other hand while using his rear hand to grab his foe. Upon connecting, he then swing-slashes with his opposite hand (his leading hand now holding his sword) at the grasped victim.

In the case of Ky, he grabs his opponent, then slashes them up, allowing for him to follow up with most any attack. This is basically his version of Sol's Wild Throw in EX Mode. Robo-Ky by default only in the console versions of XX has access to this move.

In the case of Robo-Ky as of #Reload however, his version instead with a different input has him drain energy (tension) from his opponent to convert into power, and the attack inflicts a knockback instead. Higher level versions have a longer draining duration than lower level ones, with LV3 having the most drain-to-power-conversion rate.
