Slide Head, originally called Graviton Stamp (グラヴィトン スタンプ, Guraviton Sutanpu?) is one of Potemkin's Special Attacks, first appearing in in the original Guilty Gear and has been a staple of his kit ever since.
Overview[]
Potemkin flops chest-first onto the ground. If it doesn't hit the opponent directly, an unblockable full-screen shockwave is released, only affecting the opponent if they are still on the ground; while the shockwave doesn't deal any damage, it knocks the opponent down.
In the original Guilty Gear, he can charge the attack by pressing and holding instead of
. When charged to Level 2, a large, multi-hit pillar of fire appears shortly after the shockwave. At Level 3, the pillar of fire becomes bigger.
In Guilty Gear XX Λ Core, attacks that hit an opponent who's been downed by the shockwave are considered aerial hits, allowing for follow-ups without the usual downsides of attempting to attack a downed opponent.[2] This property was removed in Guilty Gear XX Λ Core Plus R, but is retained by his EX form.
In Guilty Gear -Strive-, the initial strike was removed, and the shockwave, which now comes out at any range, can now be blocked low. It also has a single hit of super armor.
