Iron Maiden is Millia Rage's second Instant Kill, replacing Bug Bite starting from Guilty Gear X, though this first appeared as Millia's Chaos Attack in the original Guilty Gear.

Overview[]

In the original Guilty Gear, Millia sends out 4 Living Lancers that scatter in random directions before (partly) homing in on the opponent.

In Guilty Gear X and XX, Millia plunges her hair through the ground. It comes out under and multiple strips of hair let out a golden glow that stabs the opponent. As it stops, two huge twisted hair strands shaped like arrow tips impale the opponent from above while forming an X shape. Finally, the enemy falls to the ground as the hair disappears.

In Guilty Gear Xrd, Millia surrounds her victim with the strips of her hair, making an iron maiden-like dome of golden spikes, and then proceeds to skewer them to death. Its startup attack uses the animation of her Emerald Rain, but without the projectiles.

Trivia[]

  • Iron Maiden is the same name as that of a famous English metal band, which in turn, chose its name from the torture device created in the 19th century.
  • This was the only attack to have originated as another type of move before becoming an Instant Kill until Megalomania became an Instant Kill in Guilty Gear Xrd. It also retained the same commands, perhaps even providing the standard for all other Instant Kills to follow.
