Beta Blade is one of Chipp Zanuff's Special Attacks, first appearing in the original Guilty Gear and has been a staple of his move set since.
Overview[]
In all appearances, Chipp jumps up and slashes his opponent with his gauntlet blade in a Shoryuken motion.
In the original Guilty Gear, Beta Blade could be charged by holding 
instead of 
. At level 1, Beta Blade does 2 hits, knocking the opponent back. At level 2, Chipp rises slightly higher, and the attack does more damage. The level 3 version has Chipp do 2 Beta Blades - one that does up to 4 hits, the second doing just 1 final hit to cap off the combo.
In Guilty Gear XX Λ Core Plus R in his EX form, Chipp can transition into his other "Blade" series attacks (Alpha & Gamma Blade) once each.
