Yo-Yo Placement is one of Bridget's Special Attacks, first appearing in Guilty Gear XX.

Overview[]

In its original appearance, Bridget throws her yo-yo out a small distance, leaving it to hover in mid-air and continue to hold the string while it's out. Bridget can control where the yo-yo goes using directional input. The yo-yo at this stage does not damage the projectile, but it can pass through the opponent.

With a yo-yo out on the stage, Bridget gains the following attacks:

Attack Input Description
GGXX Yo-Yo Placement

Yo-yo Recall (YOYO引戻し, Yō-yō Hikimodoshi?, lit. Bring back the yo-yo)

Heavy Slash with a yo-yo set (air OK) Bridget brings her yo-yo back to her, striking the opponent on the way back.

In Guilty Gear -Strive-, the yo-yo is automatically recalled after 2 seconds.

GGST Rolling Movement

Rolling Movement (ローリング移動, Rōringu Idō?)

DownDown LeftLeft + Kick with a yo-yo set (air OK) Bridget uses the string on the yo-yo to pull herself towards it, tucking into a ball.
GGXX Roger Rush

Roger Rush (ロジャーラッシュ, Rojā Rasshu?)

DownDown RightRight + Heavy Slash/Dust with a yo-yo set (air OK) Bridget's yo-yo gets replaced by Roger, who punches the air with alternating paws as he returns to Bridget.

The Dust version has Roger do 3 strikes on the spot, the last one knocking the opponent back, and causing a wall splat if close to the wall.

Only available in the Guilty Gear XX series.

GGXX Jagged Roger

Jagged Roger (ジャックドロジャー, Jakkudo Rojā?, lit. Jacked Roger)

DownDown LeftLeft + Heavy Slash/Dust with a yo-yo set (air OK) Bridget's yo-yo turns into Roger, who has four curved blades that circle around his middle as he flies back to Bridget. If he doesn't return to Bridget, the attack otherwise lasts for 2 seconds.

The Dust version has Roger travel towards his opponent instead of Bridget.

Only available in the Guilty Gear XX series.

GGXX Roger Get

Roger Get (ロジャーゲット, Rojā Getto?)

LeftDownDown Left + Heavy Slash with a yo-yo set (air OK) Bridget's yo-yo gets replaced by Roger, having him fly towards his opponent, as if doing a diving body press.

Only available in the Guilty Gear XX series.

GGXX Roger Hug

Roger Hug (ロジャーハグ, Rojā Hagu?)

RightDownDown Right + Heavy Slash with a yo-yo set Bridget's yo-yo expands and travels towards the opponent for a short distance. If it connects, it creates a seal on the opponent for 10 seconds in which time, any of Yo-Yo Placement's special attacks happen from the seal.

Only available in the Guilty Gear XX series.

GGXX Killing Machine

Me and My Killing Machine (俺とキルマシーン, Ore to Kiru Mashīn?, lit. Me and the Kill Machine)

RightDown RightDownDown LeftLeftRight or LeftDown LeftDownDown RightRightLeft + Heavy Slash with a yo-yo set Bridget's yo-yo gets replaced by Roger, who is riding a penny farthing surrounded by a ring of fire, pedalling back towards Bridget.

The RightDown RightDownDown LeftLeftRight + Heavy Slash version makes Roger quickly pedal back to Bridget, following her if she moves and lasts 2 seconds; the LeftDown LeftDownDown RightRightLeft + Heavy Slash has Roger pedal slower and deal a total of 6 hits.

Only available in the Guilty Gear XX series.

In Guilty Gear -Strive-, Yo-Yo would be repackaged as Stop and Dash (ストップ&ダッシュ, Sutoppu ando Dasshu?), the attack now uses command input;

  • DownDown LeftLeft has the yo-yo attack the opponent on the way forward, but not on the way back.
  • DownDown RightRight has the yo-yo attack the opponent on the way back, but not on the way towards the opponent.
  • The Slash version makes the yo-yo travel in a straight line.
  • The Heavy Slash version makes the yo-yo travel diagonally upwards on the ground, and diagonally downwards if used in the air.
