Summon Eddie is one of Zato-ONE & Eddie's Special Attacks, first appearing in Guilty Gear X and has been a staple of his moveset since.
Overview[]
Zato summons Eddie forth. While active, it drains the Eddie Gauge over time - if it runs out, Zato cannot use any Eddie-based attacks (with the exception of Sun Void in Guilty Gear -Strive-). Inputting any of the below attacks between Guilty Gear X - Xrd will have Eddie return to Zato, refilling his gauge.
Additionally, Eddie gains his own attacks:
Attack | Input | Description |
---|---|---|
Small Attack (小攻撃, Shō Kōgeki?) |
In the Guilty Gear X & XX series, Eddie turns into a small, pointed wave that nudges the opponent back. When using the Vice version, Eddie lunges forward and quickly jabs the opponent's legs by extending a beak out.
The Vice version would be carried over into the Guilty Gear Xrd series. | |
Traversing Attack (移動攻撃, Idō Kōgeki?) |
In the Guilty Gear X & XX series, Eddie thrusts his hand into the ground, creating a blade that pulls the opponent closer to him. When using the Vice version, Eddie turns into sawblade and travels forwards, slashing the opponent repeatedly.
The Vice version would be carried over into the Guilty Gear Xrd series. | |
Anti-air Attack (対空攻撃, Taikū Kōgeki?) |
In the Guilty Gear X & XX series, Eddie turns into a long snake that rises to the height of the screen. When using the Vice version, Eddie extends a claw straight upwards.
In the Guilty Gear Xrd series, Eddie turns into a shark's head that rises to the height of the screen. | |
Shadow Hole (シャドウホール, Shadou Hōru?)/Shadow Dive (影潜り, Kage Moguri?) |
Eddie leaves behind a puddle of shadows. | |
Drill Special (ドリルスペッシャル, Dorirusupessharu?) |
Eddie sets down a landmine that, after 2 seconds, releases an Invite Hell drill.
Completely depletes the Eddie gauge. | |
+ with Eddie summoned | Zato & Eddie swap places.
Only available in the Guilty Gear XX series. | |
Overhead Attack (中攻撃, Chūdan Kōgeki?, lit. Central Attack) |
with Eddie summoned | Eddie turns into a large face that spits up a spherical projectile. When using the Vice version, Eddie turns into a shark that leaps into the air to strike from above.
Only available in the Guilty Gear XX series, but the Vice version would be succeeded by Great White in the Xrd series. |
+ with Eddie summoned | Eddie turns into a giant hand with an eye on the palm to grab the opponent. If it connects, Eddie throws the opponent behind him.
Only available in the Guilty Gear Xrd series. |
