Pokémon Go’s new Luminous Legends event welcomes a few new fairy types to the mobile game, including Spritzee and Swirlix. Both Pokémon have special requirements for evolving them from their base forms, with Swirlix — the Cotton Candy Pokémon — being the easier of the two to evolve.

Evolving Swirlix into Slurpuff (its final form) requires 50 Swirlix candy, but Pokémon Go also notes that you must “Adventure together to evolve.” That’s mostly true, but prepping Swirlix for evolution is shockingly easy: You just need to feed it 25 treats to meet that requirement. Simply choose Swirlix as your Buddy Pokémon, feed it 25 Pinap Berries, Nanab Berries, or Razz Berries (or any fruit salad combination of the three), and you’ll have a Swirlix ready to evolve. And no, you don’t need to feed it like you would a normal pet — just feed it 25 treats in a row, all at once for all Swirlix cares.

Pokémon Go players can find Swirlix in the wild, but the derpy Pokémon can also be earned by completing the Luminous Legends X Timed Research, two event-specific Field Research tasks (“Catch 10 Fairy-type Pokémon” and “Use 7 berries to help catch Pokémon”), or by hatching 7 km Eggs.
