Pokémon Go Registeel raid guide: Counters and best movesets

Registeel is one of the many Legendary Pokémon that appears in Pokémon Go. The steel-type golem Pokémon is weak against fire-, ground-, and fighting-type moves.

In this Pokémon Go guide, we’ll teach you about Registeel counters, raids, movesets, weaknesses, and more.

Registeel counters and weakness

Try using the following counters against Registeel:

• Lucario with Counter and Aura Sphere
• Darmanitan with Fire Fang and Overheat
• Blaziken with Fire Spin and Blast Burn
• Machamp with Counter and Dynamic Punch

As usual, you don’t have to use our listed counters, but your team against Registeel should use fire-, ground-, and fighting-type moves to capitalize on Registeel weakness.

You can use weather boosts to help make your moves stronger. Sunny weather will boost fire- and ground-type moves, and cloudy weather will boost fighting-type moves.

Best movesets for Registeel

Just like its siblings, Registeel is not great in PvE content like raids and gyms. If you still want to use it as a steel-type attacker, give it Metal Claw and Flash Cannon.

Registeel is very good in Great League and Ultra League PvP. Set it up with Lock-On with Flash Cannon and Focus Blast to turn it into a bulky goliath.

Is Registeel available Shiny?

Lucky players may encounter a Shiny Registeel. If you do see a Shiny, it will catch on the first ball you hit it with, so use a Pinap Berry to score some extra candy.
