Regirock is one of the many potential Legendary tier-five raid bosses in Pokémon Go. The rock-type Pokémon is weak against water-, grass-, ground-, steel-, and fighting-type moves.

In this Pokémon Go guide, we’ll teach you about Regirock counters, raids, Regirock Shiny, movesets, weaknesses, and more.

Regirock counters and weakness

We recommend using any of the following Regirock counters:

  • Kyogre with Waterfall and Hydro Pump
  • Machamp with Counter and Dynamic Punch
  • Metagross with Bullet Punch and Meteor Mash
  • Roserade with Razor Leaf and Grass Knot

As usual, you don’t have to use our listed counters, but your team against Regirock should use water-, grass-, ground-, steel-, or fighting-type move to capitalize on Regirock’s weakness.

You can use weather boosts to help make your moves stronger. Rain will boost water-type moves, sunny weather will boost grass- and ground-type moves, cloudy weather will boost fighting-type moves, and snow will boost steel-type moves.

Best moveset for Regirock

Regirock isn’t great in PvE content like raids and gyms, but if you still want to use it, give it Rock Throw and Stone Edge.

Just like its siblings, Regirock holds its own weight in PvP. Give it the moves Lock-On with Stone Edge and Focus Blast to make the most of the defensive golem.

Can you find Regirock Shiny?

Lucky players may encounter a Shiny Regirock. If you do see a Shiny, it will catch on the first ball you hit it with, so use a Pinap Berry to score some extra candy.
