Pokémon Go guide: How to evolve Happiny

Just like in other Pokémon games, Happiny has a special way of evolving into Chansey in Pokémon Go.

To evolve Happiny into Chansey, you’ll need to set it as your buddy Pokémon and walk 15 kilometers with it. Make sure you set the specific Happiny that you want to evolve as your buddy. Once you walk with it, you’ll be able to use 25 Chansey Candy to evolve it.

While you likely won’t have to evolve your Happiny to complete your Pokédex since you can find Chansey in the wild, they could be worth evolving if it has good IVs. Happiny’s final evolution, Blissey, is a notoriously good gym Pokémon, since it’s bulky and has high defense stats.

Happiny can only be found in eggs, but it’s not always in the egg pool. The Silph Road has a convenient list of what’s currently in eggs.
