Mining

Mining is the process of digging through Blocks, walls and ore boulders in caves with pickaxes, Sledge hammers or drills. You can also dig for ore buried in walls.

Blocks[]

Blocks are the main kinds of wall obstacles you will find within the caves. Blocks can be damaged with bare hands, mining tools and explosives, so long as the player's Mining Damage is high enough. The player cannot destroy "Obsidian Blocks" by any means unless they are in creative mode.

Walls[]

Walls are specific objects that are crafted by the player or appear as part of various structures in the world. There is also an indestructible "Great Wall" that disappears when all the boss statues around are activated and the player speaks to The Core.

Ores appear as shiny metals lodged within common blocks depending on the biome, dropping 1-2 ores upon being mined. Some ore blocks may contain an Ancient Gemstone instead.

Ore Boulders[]

Ore boulders are found uncommonly within their native biomes and each contain 1,800 pieces of their ore. They cannot be dug with any tool, so a Drill must be used instead.
