Armor is a type of defensive item which can be used to reduce incoming damage, or provide various stat bonuses. They most often come in a set of two or three, and may even provide a set bonus while having the full set equipped.
Armor is equipped in the player's inventory, under the helm, chest, and pants slots. Wearing armor changes the character's appearance to match the currently equipped armor. Armor may also be mixed and matched, according to the player's needs.
Armor can come from various sources, such as crafting or enemy drops.
There are a total of 40 armor sets and 29 miscellaneous armor pieces (that do not belong to any set) in the game.
