Glurch the Abominous Mass is an early-game boss found in the Dirt Biome. To find Glurch, explore the Dirt Biome until the screen begins to shake. Head in the direction of the shaking until you find the boss.
Behavior[]
Glurch can destroy blocks, including bridges and walls. If the player moves out of its range during combat, it goes back to its rune to regenerate its HP unless attacked again.
Glurch deals around 50 damage to the player. When it reaches 30% health, it becomes enraged and doubles its bouncing speed.
Glurch will attack you if you are within 4-5 tiles of the boss.

- If there is no ground under Glurch as he jumps on it, it will be replaced by Dirt Ground.
- When Glurch bounces onto a tile, he has a chance to spawn Ground Slime on the tile.

Tips[]
- Glurch can be easily found by listening for a thumping noise and screen shake near the Core.
- Glurch attacks the player by bouncing from their rune to the player and dealing approximately 50 damage on hit. He is effectively killed by using Bombs and ranged weapons such as the Slingshot. When using Bombs, the player should place the Bomb and run out of Glurch's range. This way, they bounce on the Bomb and trigger it. This method can be repeated and will require 10-20 Bombs on average.
- Alternatively, the player can use a melee weapon such as a Copper Sword combined with a Hearty Pepper Wrap for an effective source of healing, movement speed and a temporary max health increase. A shovel can be incredibly helpful to dig up the Ground Slime to avoid the -50% movement speed debuff. Wood Armor and Copper Armor can reduce the damage taken from Glurch while also increasing the player's maximum health.
- If already acquired, a Flintlock Musket can be of great use to deal large amounts of damage to the boss quickly.
- If already acquired, you can dodge the attack with Swift Feather
