Notes[]
- Ivy has a very similar attack pattern to Glurch the Abominous Mass; it will jump on the player, repeatedly dealing damage.
- Ivy can be re-summoned by using a Giant Slime Summoning Idol, which is purchased from the Caveling Merchant for 500 .
- Ivy will fire multiple poison shots from the sky similar to The Hive Mother, but also leaving behind Ground Poison Slime and summoning Purple Slimes.
Achievements[]
Toxic Personality • "Defeat Ivy the Poisonous Mass" Defeat Ivy the Poisonous Mass for the first time. |
Tips[]
- Ivy's arena can be identified by locating the same thumping noise as Glurch in an area covered by Ground Poison Slime.
- If you are unable to find Ivy, a Scanner can be crafted at the Ancient Hologram Pod.
- A full set of Scarlet Armor is recommended for the fight.
- A ranged weapon like the Grubzooka or the Fireball Staff is vital for the fight since Ivy has similar attack patterns as Glurch, but deals a lot more damage. The Grubzooka has the added advantage of passing through the many slime spawns and still damaging Ivy, whereas other ranged weapons are more likely to be blocked, especially late in the fight.
- If you are able to get a Bubble Gun, its high fire rate and its ability to impair Ivy's movement make it excellent for taking down the boss.
- Bring potions, but Healing Potions are not recommended unless you have the Remedaisy Necklace since it buffs poison effects, which reduces healing by 75% for 30 seconds.
- The Grub Egg Necklace and the Larva Ring set are highly recommended in order to not get slowed down and keep your pace on the ground slime since Ivy moves much faster than the player while slowed.
