Morpha the Aquatic Mass is a boss found in the Sunken Sea. To find the boss, purchase a scanner from the spirit merchant.
Behavior[]
Just like Glurch and Ivy, Morpha jumps around toward the player. It also lets out a massive stream of bubbles in all directions between jumping attacks. Its pattern is to expel bubbles, then jump 2-3 times, before spewing bubbles again.
Morpha can destroy blocks, including bridges and walls (and notably, it will cover water tiles with ground). If the player moves out of its range during combat, it goes back to its rune to regenerate its HP unless attacked again.
When it reaches about 25% health, it becomes enraged and doubles its bouncing speed, and will jump 3-4 times.

- If there is no ground under Morpha as she jumps on it, it will be replaced by Beach Ground.
- When Morpha bounces onto a tile, she has a chance to spawn a Slippery Ground Slime on the tile.
- She can be re-summoned by using a Giant Slime Summoning Idol, which is purchased from the Caveling Merchant for 500

Tips[]
- Due to the massive bubble attack, it is recommended to only use ranged weapons, as being in melee range will cause the player to quickly get overwhelmed.
- It is recommended to prepare the arena before beginning the battle. Clearing out an area 5-10 blocks larger than the default arena, and using a scarlet hoe to quickly cultivate the ground and clear any ground slime will make the battle much easier. This will also keep any other mobs from spawning during the fight. The most difficult part of fighting this boss is being too close to it, due to the bubbles and their lingering effect, so creating a larger arena to fight makes this battle far easier.
