Souls are permanent abilities obtained by defeating each of the three titan bosses: Azeos the Sky Titan, Omoroth the Sea Titan and Ra-Akar the Sand Titan. Each one grants special offensive abilities. Souls are an important part of Core Keeper in both progression and story; the Core promises that in return for collecting each soul, the player will be able to return to the surface.
Once each titan is defeated, they will drop a soul in the spot of their death. Standing under this soul will cause an animation to play, and once completed "Gained soul of <titan name>!" will appear in the player's chat, indicating they successfully obtained the soul's ability. Upon spawning, each soul has a "fuse" of 5 minutes that counts down before it despawns.
Soul powers can be enhanced while wearing the Godsent King armor set.
Usage[]
Once obtained, soul powers are enabled immediately, and will create their projectiles in the proper conditions unless disabled.
Souls can be activated and deactivated in the souls tab, accessible once the Core has been spoken to for the first time. It is located next to the Skills tab.
Types[]
Soul of Azeos[]
"The soul of Azeos empowers you with the ancient thunder."
- +10% chance to spawn a thunder beam on melee critical hits.
- This thunder beam can destroy any breakable block it comes into contact with.
Soul of Omoroth[]
"The soul of Omoroth empowers you with the forces of the depth."
- +3% chance on range hit to spawn a tornado.
Soul of Ra-Akar[]
"The soul of Ra-Akar empowers you with the ancient force of the desert."
- +10% chance on melee or range hit to spawn an ancient orb that follows the hit target and deals damage on impact.
Godsent King armor[]
The Godsent King armor set will increase the chance of activation for each of the three souls depending on the pieces equipped:
- Godsent King Mask: +4% additional chance to trigger Ra-Akar's soul power.
- Godsent King Breast Armor: +6% additional chance to trigger Azeos' soul power.
- Godsent King Pants Armor: +3% additional chance to trigger Omoroth's soul power.
Notes[]
- While useful in many cases, the Soul of Azeos can be extremely destructive if kept active, especially around player-built creations. It is advised to keep this soul disabled while at any area that could accidentally be destroyed by the thunder beam.
