Synopsis[]

Goodbyes are never easy, but this one's a mess. With emotions firing on all cylinders, Maeve finds the right words. Aimee gets inspired; Eric gets real.

Plot[]

SPOILERS AHEAD

Eric starts to have confusing dreams about God and his conflict about being baptised. Having continued to ignore Ruby since their night together, Otis contacts her—she quits as his campaign manager and leaves in tears. Aimee agrees to not date Isaac after Maeve tells her that it would make her uncomfortable. Aisha and Cal hook up in a Cavendish bathroom, but Cal becomes very upset after they get their period, despite being on testosterone. Maeve and Aimee go to the funeral parlour, where they learn that Sean has not arrived with the flowers. Otis and Eric have an argument in which Eric calls out Otis' selfish and self-pitying behaviour, but Otis refuses to respond. Maeve is surprised when many friends attend her mother's funeral, after Aimee secretly invites them. Sean arrives, gives a bitter and painfully honest eulogy, and angrily leaves. Mr. Hendricks plays Erin's favourite song on the piano, and leads everyone in a heartfelt rendition. Otis and Eric agree that they need some space from each other, while Maeve forgives Otis and decides not to return to America. Adam goes to his father's house to discuss the funeral, but realises that his parents have been sleeping together without his knowledge, and departs. Jackson is cleared of cancer, but falls out with Viv when he tries to discuss Beau's increasingly obsessive and controlling behaviour. Ruby posts a video of the bed-wetting incident.
