Aimee Lou Wood (born February 3, 1995) is a British actress. She portrays Aimee Gibbs on Netflix's Sex Education.
Biography[]
Wood is from Stockport, Greater Manchester, England. She studied acting at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) where she graduated in 2017, obtaining a BA Degree in Acting (H Level). During her time at RADA, Wood was involved in many productions, such as playing Margaret in a production of Scuttlers directed by Hannah Eidinow, and as Goody in Vinegar Tom, directed by Cressida Brown. Wood played Jess in Hen, a short film directed by James Larkin, and Yulia in Summerfolk, directed by Deborah Paige.

- At first, Aimee Lou Wood was supposed to play the role of Lily Iglehart, instead of her namesake Aimee Gibbs, but eventually both the writers and Wood decided the role of Aimee fit the actress better.
- Aimee is Irish on her mother's side. She likes eating Tayto crisps, especially in a sandwich with Kerrygold butter.[1]
- Aimee prefers savoury over sweet food.[1]
- Aimee dislikes jellied eels and pickled eggs.[1]
