Haehyun is a playable character that has only appeared in both Guilty Gear Xrd -Revelator- & Rev 2.

Stats[]

Playstyle[]

Unlike the vast majority of characters throughout the Guilty Gear series who use weapons, Haehyun is a special case who only uses hand-to-hand combat, thus specialising in close-range. While his moveset is rather simple, making the most of his tools is the biggest challenge - for example, Haehyun's aerial Dust is made to be used as a cross-up, which can lead into building combos if it connects.

Tuning Ball is one of Haehyun's most valuable assets, being a projectile that he can control the horizontal direction of while it's moving. The Slash version comes out relatively fast, but deals low damage, while the Heavy Slash version has slow startup, but stays active for longer and deals up to 3 hits on full-contact. He also has an Overdrive version in the form of Celestial Tuning Ball, which is not only it's largest form, but can be controlled in all directions.

One of Haehyun's most unique properties are the variations to his Special Attacks: both Falcon Dive and Four Tigers Sword have Reverse versions, as well as having different properties when being held - the held version Four Tigers Sword keeps Haehyun spinning towards his opponent before initiating the anti-air kick, while the Reverse version does a standing high-kick that causes a wall bounce.

Falcon Dive on the other hand also has an aerial version, which does a falling kick instead of the swinging high kick; meanwhile, the held version causes a wall bounce if the opponent is airborne, and its Reverse version does an axe kick that also causes a wall bounce, though this is not as situational.

His Enlightened 3000 Palm Strike Overdrive is by far his most fascinating tool. Haehyun creates a large circular field around him where, if the opponent is inside it, he can move them around side-to-side if used in neutral, but can move the opponent around in any direction if used in a combo - the attack itself ends with Haehyun clapping his hands, blasting the opponent back if it hits.
