Malek Amir is one of the recurring characters in Sex Education. He is portrayed by Armin Karima.
Throughout the Series[]
Season 2[]
Malek is dating Olivia, but is upset because of her tendency to cover his face with a pillow whenever she has an orgasm. He goes to ask Jean, who suggests that Olivia might be into fetish, which freaks out Malek. However, they are able to talk things out as Olivia admits that she finds her orgasm face ugly to look at. To solve the problem, Olivia puts tape on Malek's face prior to sex to make him have a weird face as well so she does not feel embarrassed about how she looks like during sex.
When Jean's notes are released throughout the school by Michael, Malek has to admit to Olivia that he is actually fifteen. Moreover, their relationship is rejected by both their parents due to Malek's parents being Iranians while Olivia's are Indians.
Season 3[]
The two eventually continued their relationship as seen in episode 3.1 having sex.
In same season, Malek puts pressure on Olivia with having sex without a condom. In episode 3.4, Olivia and The Untouchables visit sexual health clinic, and after leaving doctor's office, Olivia understands that she doesn't have to agree to it and decides to tell Malek how she feels about it.

Olivia Hanan (girlfriend)[]

Malek is second in the show, and first known Olivia's boyfriend. They've been together for seasons 2 & 3, with little break during season 2, after Olivia finds out that Malek is minor and having sex with him was a crime. In the first scene of season 3, we can see Malek and Olivia having sex, meaning that they made up. In same season, Malek wants to have sex with her without any birth control, which stresses Olivia so much. Later, she shares her thoughts about on this with Ruby in episode 3.4, after Sex Ed class organised by Hope. Eventually, Olivia and rest of The Untouchables visit a sexual health clinic on Mayfield Road, where Olivia understood that she didn't have to agree to have sex with Malek without any contraception, but didn't want to break up with him, knowing that she loves him anyway.
