Garrison's journal is a paper note in the Fallout 76 update Wastelanders. It was written by Derek Garrison.
Location[]
The note can be found in Vault 79, on a corner console to the left of the laser grid encountered during All That Glitters in the Settlers quest line. After Secrets Revealed is completed, most sections of the vault become inaccessible and this item can no longer be retrieved.
Transcript[]
We just made into Vault 79 with as much gold as we could haul. Now for the hard part. We have to make this place a home for an extended period. We have no idea when we'll be able to safely leave.
We have plenty of water, but food will be tight. With several dozen agents to feed, we can't afford to waste any of it. I've asked Digger to see if he can get a hydroponic garden up and running.
As the AC, my orders are to remain here, undetected, until such time as radiation levels fall to safe levels and order is restored. With luck, we should get the okay from the government in a few months, a year at the most. Until then, the radios are under lock and key, and the doors to the outside will remain closed.
