Ola Nyman & Lily Iglehart is a romantic relationship on the Netflix series Sex Education. It started in season 2, after Ola started attending Moordale Secondary and Lily became her chaperone.

History[]

Season 2[]

Ola and Lily first met in season 2, after Ola started education in Moordale Secondary. Ola was the only friend of Lily's, and Lily was the first person Ola got to know after joining Moordale. Lily was the one who showed Ola the whole school, introducing her students and what she thinks about them. Lily told Ola things about The Untouchables, for example that they are not as kind as they seem from the first sight. Later in the season, their relationship started to transforming into a romantic one, after Ola had a dream where she and Lily were kissing. The dream completely changed the way how Ola was seeing Lily. Ola breaks up with Otis, and decides to tell Lily that she likes her. After she did, Lily is totally freaked out and doesn't know what to do, so she starts to ignore Ola. Lily was avoiding her until episode 2.7, where she asks Ola if she wants to walk home together. When they were going to to Lily's place, Lily says that she still wants to be friends with Ola. When Ola started to turning around, Lily suddenly said that she didn't want to be just friends, because Ola smelled so much better than a boy. This was the moment when girls shared their second kiss.

Season 3[]

We can see them in first scene having sex in an alien-stuff themed. Throughout the season, Ola admits that she doesn't believe in aliens and she'd like to have sex without all the alien stuff sometimes, which makes Lily feel really mad and upset, beginning to doubt in their relationship. While Lily's in hurt after Ola's words, Ola struggles with missing her mom, especially with fact, that her father, Jakob is having a baby with Jean Milburn.

After Lily was humiliated in front of the whole school by Hope, Ola's trying to comfort and support her. In episode 3.7, Ola asks Otis to talk to Lily, knowing how much Otis helped her with her vaginismus stuff and hoping he'll help her out once again. In the season finale, Ola and Lily make up, admitting that they've both been distracted and haven't understood each other correctly. In their last scene of season 3, they're watching the night sky and looking for aliens there.
