Above all, please abide by The Matrix wiki's policies.

Wiki Rules as of June 18, 2024[]

For simplicity, this wiki will adhere to Fandom's global rules. The following cites **only some** of all possible violations:

having an offensive/unacceptable username,
advertisement spam and/or spamming links to external sites,
inserting false information,
removing content from pages,
inserting nonsense/gibberish into pages,
intimidating behavior/harassment,
abusing multiple accounts,
large scale and/or persistent abuse across several sites,
impersonating other users,
severe Terms of Use violations,
global block evasion.

Protection Rules[]

Articles and files can be temporarily locked down at any time until ongoing vandalism and/or edit wars has stopped, upon which it is expected to be opened up again. No articles or files will remain indefinitely protected in the absence of vandalism and/or edit warring and, if possible, protection should be limited such that it only restricts the disruptors.
Requests to reverse any protection placed on articles and files can be made by anyone (in consideration of protection rule no. 1) via the protected page's talk/comment page.
Protection on all other non-article pages and assets will be left to the discretion of the Administrators unless discussed and voted upon by the community.

Blocking Rules[]

The following blocks are issued based on severity and past behavior:

Block Period	Block Reason
1 day	Issued for disrupting the wiki's operations and/or for breaking any rule or policy
1 month	Issued for repeat rule/policy breakers, or Issued for breaking 2 rules at once
3 months (the maximum block period for anonymous users)	Issued for repeatedly breaking rules/policies more than 2x, or Issued for breaking more than 2 rules at once
Indefinitely (for user accounts only)	Issued to users who were already forgiven 3x yet have broken rules/policies again, or Issued for severe rule breaking and/or severe Fandom terms violations, or Issued for block evasion

All blocks are contestable and blocked users may always appeal.

Promotion Rules[]

Roles can be requested from existing Administrators by users who either:

have been active on the wiki for 6 months or more, or
have been editing content pages on the wiki each day for at least 30 days.

Length of term, term limits, and the actual role assigned requires a community discussion and/or vote.

Please note that all local wiki rules (like the protection, blocking, or promotion rules) can always be changed, added upon, or removed as soon as it is discussed and voted upon by the community.
