First, you can get hosting for 50 sites for $5 at Hostgator. That's not what WPEngine is. WPEngine is serious Wordpress managed hosting for those who don't want to manage the backend with PHP and Wordpress updates. WPEngine provides hosting for websites that need the fastest, most reliable user experience. No shared hosting here. But... you pay an exorbitant price for such a high-quality environment. One site? $30 a month. Service is tremendous, but I had to bail for the price. $350 a year for one site was a bit much for me. But if you are a serious Wordpress website developer this is the company for you. I gave it 4 stars due to the price, but the service and product are worthy of 5 stars.

I really can't say enough great things about WPEngine. We've moved every client over to their managed WordPress hosting, and it couldn't have been a better experience. As an agency owner, I trust WPEngine for myself and my clients. I know their exceptional support is available 24/7 via live chat (and they are so quick, knowledgeable, and comforting). 'Cause you know if something is going to go wrong, it goes wrong on launch day...or over a holiday weekend. I know WPEngine has my back.

Basically, WPEngine makes me look great to my clients. In fact, I rarely touch a website NOT hosted on WPEngine because I don't want to deal with the unreliability and unhelpful support from other options.

I have developed and managed over 50 websites on WP Engine and have had a great experience overall. The platform makes it easy to create staging sites and backup points. However, one area for improvement is the cost associated with high traffic volumes and bandwidth usage. It can get quite expensive if a site receives more than 2,000 visits per day and consumes significant bandwidth.

Very happy with WPE. I've hosted in 4-5 places over the years and if you're working with WordPress, I think you'll appreciate it. The support team is knowledgable and easy to reach. The platform itself offers a ton of powerful devops and web management tools. You pay more than the nightmare economy platforms, but when you know, you know. It's worth it.

The best hosting platform. From pricing to customer support to usability, WP Engine is superior. I am a website developer and I work on LOTS of different platforms for my clients. All of them are typically around the same price range, but WP Engine definitely is the best bang for your buck, among being on the cheaper side. Their customer support is instant, no need for phone calls or even waiting. Using the backend is super simple, even for beginners. Their ability to add new sites and create staging environments is among the fastest. If you are a developer or even an individual wanting to host their website, this would be the place to do it. They have great prices, AMAZING customer support, it's super easy to use, it offers a lot, and it gives you amazing control over your site. I advise avoiding the mega companies that everyone uses, they typically are able to charge more, add more fees, make things more complicated, and their support typically takes forever. So from someone who builds and hosts website for a job, I recommend this.

WPE is literally the best WordPress host I've ever used. The service is impeccable and the support is world class. I can't tell you how many times I've reached out with questions and they were able to help without delay. No matter what time of day, how complicated my problem was. They are unbelievable. WPengine is more expensive than most Word Press hosting companies. BUT, I have always been willing to pay more, because they consistently have excellent customer service (including phone and Live Chat.) For my personal tastes, having telephone support (as needed) is very important to me, but I also discovered their Live Chat is the same quality as reps I have spoken with on the phone. Now I feel comfortable using both - phone or Live Chat - whenever needed. And most importantly, all support are answered by AMERICAN staff. That is critical for me. I hope WPengine continues to have solely American customer service support, rather than outsourcing to a third world country (as way too many companies do these days.) Thanks, WPengine, for keeping all your staff in the good 'ol USA, and for the obviously well-trained and intelligent support staff employed by your company.

I worked with Michael from WP Engine, and I appreciated his thoroughness in trying to help us solve a website problem our org was having. Not only did he leverage his expertise to educate us on our current situation, he also went above and beyond to help troubleshoot the issue to a positive conclusion. Even if we didn't solve the issue that day, his insights and care would have been enough. We always look for systems that can act like a partner to help us achieve our org goals and WP Engine did that.

The account managers and sales team were very knowledgeable when looking into hosting products for our WordPress clients. They have a great partner program as well as a fantastic service/support team. Changes are constantly being made to improve the product that we pay for, which is something that other companies miss.
