I'm not a dev, although I do have some experience with web design...using different builders. The Support at WP Engine is 5 STAR all the way. They've been wonderful helping me get started after I moved my hosting to WP Engine last month to build my first ecommerce store.

I've had various clients that I've 'forced' into getting themselves on WPEngine and it has saved us so much time and effort. Their support is beyond phenomenal! As an ex-tech support guy back in the day... this is the kind of support we always strived for. The pages are ridiculously fast loading to boot!

Outstanding service from Evan in support on Feb. 22 (2024) regarding implementing web rules. He put them in place, then offered a mini-tutorial to boot. Can't beat assistance like that, and in more than 15 years of online publishing I haven't found it anywhere else.

LOVE WPENGINE!!! US-based support, easy-to-use and intuitive interface and they are always able to help me day or night. This is the standard that all hosts should strive for. I used to think hosting was a commodity but WPE is doing it better than any other company out there.

I have been working with WP Engine for quite a few years as a developer and they are outstanding. Not only do they provide great features for my clients at a fair price, they also have excellent customer support.

They also introduced software to help developers like me push and pull to sites making it easier to make changes to my clients sites, which in turn allows me to pass additional savings in my time on to them. A win win in my book.

If you are planning on hosting a wordpress site, this is the place to do it.

WP Engine is the best support in the industry. When supporting WordPress there are a lot of client configuration details, dns, plugins that can all effect the site. It would be easy for them to say that it is not something we support, but instead they put knowledgeable people on the line and fix your problem.

I had to update my review as I had a second support request today (Mar 23, 2024). WP Engine continues to impress me with their support and customer service while I am in the midst of needing tech support. Literally the best vendor I work with.

I have to tell wpengine worth every dollar. It makes our lives so much easier. LocalWP is extremely cool, and takes away a significant burden from developers.

I only had to contact their support once in the last two years, and the chat support just works. No long queues, no clueless agents. 5/5

The support provided is excellent. Identified a very tricky issue with conflicting header rules preventing Wordpress admin logins. This is just the latest example. Well done!

Had a really technical help desk request question regarding rest api from an email integration that has not been syncing properly. The WP Engine Team member explained everything and helped get all of the settings corrected. Great experience!

I've used WP Engine as a personal web host and as a web developer working for other companies. They are the best WordPress host I've used because:
- I can talk to customer service people quickly via chat and they are knowledgeable. For example, I recently dealt with someone trying to hack my website and they quickly showed me how to block the hacker via WP Engine tools.

- Their online portal and tools are extremely easy to use, including setting up new websites, password-protecting websites being built, automated and manually backing up websites, and developing websites locally.

- Their hosting of websites visited by millions of people. I've worked at multiple companies (including a major tech company) that use WP Engine as a web host.

We have an ecommerce store with a million plugins and integrations, so we use a TON of tech support. WP Engine has the kindest, most dedicated team of tech agents I've ever dealt with. They go above and beyond their scope to make sure all the "i's are dotted", not just the ones for WP Engine. I wish I could use them for all my tech issues.

This used to be an awesome company with great support.

However, we recently moved to a new provider (webflow) after at least 7 years with them. We asked to cancel the account for months and they continued to charge the card on file only to tell us we could not cancel even though multiple people had reached out about it.

Terrible customer service. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR CC. So frustrating that after years of service and giving them thousands of dollars in hosting we were treated this way because we decided to move away from wordpress.

I was pleasantly suprised with the level of expertise and help I got with the chat featuring a live agent. I explained the issue I was having with my site and they understood right away what I meant and were able to help me clear up the issue in a short period of time. They were knowledgeable, easy to understand, and responsive. Great job!

We manage ~200 websites through WPEngine so we've had many interactions with their support team. They are all very knowledgable and tenacious when it comes to hunting down and fixing any issues we come across. I just had another interaction with Cristy B. and they did not disappoint, despite the problem being a very technical issue that is probably very uncommon and unique to very large agencies.

Probably the best hosting service I've used. We don't do too much with WordPress, but for the dozen or so clients that need WP, these guys have proven to be invaluable. If only we had this level of service with all our hosting platforms!

Slow servers and bad restrictions, disabling WP revisions is ludicrous. We should NOT need to talk to support to do it.

Also, the AI bot is absolutely useless and refuses to connect me 99% of the time.

Me: Please enable Revisions
Bot: Only support can do that
Me: Can you please connect me then?
Bot: Please ask me any questions you have before reaching out to support.

WP Engine is the worst.

Edit: WPEngine tried shutting down this review by requesting an order number, they know they don't allow revisions and make it very hard to talk to a person. For 5-10x the price of every other host, you'd expect it to be faster, and have better support.

What can I say, has a user friendly dashboard and it's very easy to get everything setup. Can't fault the customer support too, they have always been helpful when I had any issues.
