Answer is a playable character that has only appeared in Guilty Gear Xrd Rev 2.

Stats[]

Playstyle[]

Answer's moves are heavily inspired by ninjutsu, dubbed Business/Savvy Ninpo, all while he's talking to someone on the phone.

There's a lot of ways Answer can be played - taking the zoning route would start by incorporating Caltrops first and foremost, where Answer throws a business card at the floor, which acts like a marker for its 2 follow-ups: Under the Rug, which allows him to teleport to the appropriate card set on the ground, and Under the Bus, creating a shadow clone for a quick anti-air attack.

Then there's the close-range route, having his own version of Resshou at his disposal for quick bait-punishing, as well as his Tax Write-off command grab to get some damage in on a block-happy opponent, and his Data Logging counter against the trigger-happy.

Finally - his most important role - the neutral game. Seal of Approval can be used in either of the aforementioned strategies, but it's best used mid-screen to help decide what tactic to use, since setting at least 4 seals can make catching him difficult if used right. As well as being able to travel between seals, Answer has a follow-up for each of his buttons, all of which can lead to multiple options.

His Overdrives, sadly, are where Answer's moves slightly fall short. Despite Firesale having both a ground & aerial version and comes out with decent speed after activation, it can be very easily telegraphed due to its long startup animation, so it's best to be used as a combo-ender, or to get the kill. His second Overdrive, All Hands, suffers from poor range and lower damage compared to Firesale - best used as a flashy punish, or to end the round after confirming the hit.
