Being customer of Cloudways for 6+years

During the years here at Cloudways I saw lots of constant improvements making this hosting by "price - services offered" a no brainer.
Good speed, cloud architecture, malware protection, Cloudflare integration, cheapest email hosting, convenient and features-packed User Panel just to name a few among many benefits.
Special appreciation goes to support - it is definitely 5***** and never got worse over the years.
I have no plan to migrate and when asked which hosting I recommend - well you guess it right - Cloudways.

Concept is great but quality is bad

While their support staff seem great, and so friendly. A lot was over promised and under delivered. As a company they seem to have the resources but the support staff and overall GUI of the platform is horrible.

Their interface lags horribly, the live chat does not work, you can't even click it.

When doing something on one app on a server, it basically locks you out of any action until that task is complete (which is silly).

They forced us to use DigitalOcean and the servers were just god awful slow.

Extremely poor technical support

Signed-up for a trial. The wordpress cloudways migration tool does NOT work. You will only get migration assistance when you enter your credit card details.

And guess what happened next? The migration team "assisted" to migrate my website, made it look even worse, and called it "done".

Technical support has been a nightmare right from the start.

You may have read good reviews about Cloudways. Do you know why? It's because they pay content creators to recommend them. That is all.

Cloudways is severely overrated. You have been warned.

So easy to use with great support

So easy to use with great support. Just had a live chat with Iqra Muhammad from billing support and my issue was fixed in a few minutes. Always fast, polite and informative. I 100% recommend Cloudways to anyone considering using managed cloud hosting.

Best Support in Over 2 Decades of Buying Hosting

Cloudways continue to smash the ball out of the park with their support. Their attention to detail and problem-solving skills are first-class at tech level.

They're quick as well.

Even if it's chat or their ticketing system, they don't mess around. I've been running websites for over 2 decades now, and these guys are the best hosting I've used so far.

The value for money is great as well. Managed cloud hosting has never been so affordable.

Cloudways billed me for a service that I did not use and refused to refund

I was subscribed to autonomous plan and then deleted all applications. I thought that by deleting the apps I will not be charged, and also did not find a place to cancel the subscription. After more than a month, I was charged for $90 which I never used the service. When contacting support, they refused to refund and guided me to a hidden place where I can cancel the subscription. I will never suggest cloudways to anyone.

i give 2 star

i give 2 star. because the support was fast and helpful always, even couldn't help.
server was slow-average, gave 502 errors sometimes.
When no problem, its an meh, but ok webhost. When something happened, just wait, several misdiagnosises here too (or worst, i think no idea they had what happened). no sorry, no compensation when they made harm. they had good reputation, but i regret to choose them

In my time of need

In my time of need, Sajjad Ahmad Khan did everything possible and went beyond in order to keep my systems operating while I’m stuck in hospital. This is the most humane and helpful act and I am very grateful to him and Cloudways for understanding.

AVOID CLOUDWAYS

I decided to switch to another hosting provider because of bad servers performance and worse service costs in comparsion with another platforms. After asking for remaining credits (nearly $300) refund after waiting about 3 weeks for reply they told me that 3 monhts refund policy passed. Funds were added 20 & 21th DEC 2023 ($400). I asked for refund 20th FEB 2024. I do not reccomend this company. Avoid them.

Technical help

I have had Cloudways server now 3 years. I´m not an encoder, but I do take care several internetsites. I have got awesome help time to time from Cloudways. Today Javiria help me to with wp-files just awesome help. Javiria save my day :)

Sidra was great to work with through…

Sidra was great to work with through online chat. My website was running really slow due to a bunch of hits from certain IP's. Probably some idiot trying to hack into the website. In the end Sidra got my website back to normal.

Server failure, loss of money, and no support..

I had server problems, lost a lot of money and several complaints. I received several wrong diagnoses. I've been waiting for a position from support for over a week now. There are already more than 40 responses to the ticket and I still haven't found a suitable solution. I'm still waiting for a position.. If not, I will expose everything that happened and seek redress.. After Digital Ocean bought cloudways, it seems that they are slowly destroying cloudways... I await a response, or I will seek other measures.
