How to Get Resources
There are two main pieces to being a successful Custodian in Meet Your Maker. One is using your fighting skills to survive raiding an outpost, the other is using your creative skills to build a deceitful outpost designed to kill other raiders. Both of these have aspects on how to get resources in Meet Your Maker, but they operate very differently.
Resources
There are three types of resources in Meet Your Maker — Synthite, cells, and parts.
Cells are used to level up your advisors and, subsequently, your Chimera. They’re also used to purchase and upgrade all the items at your different advisor stations in addition to Synthite or Parts.
Synthite is used to build your outposts.
Parts are used at your hardware station to make the hardware items, like grenades. They’re also used to upgrade your weapons and other equipment.
Raiding
When you’re raiding an outpost, there are additional resources throughout the outpost you could receive. Shooting traps before they deploy or before they deactivate and shooting guards will give you resources. Forsaken Tombs are mechanical-looking tombs built into the walls that give you Synthite when you destroy them.
Raiding also gives you XP toward your Custodian level which gives you rewards for leveling up.
Active Outposts
Building and activating an outpost will give you resources over time. As other players go through your outpost to try and capture your GenMat, their deaths give you Synthite or parts as well as GenMat. This only applies to Active or Overdrive outposts, but be careful choosing Overdrive, as you lose GenMat with this style of outpost. After your outpost has been active for a while, you can go to the outpost in build mode and collect the materials from the fallen raiders’ gravesites.
Chimera Tribute
When you level up your chimera tribute, there is a daily bonus amount of cells that go along with the general level-up rewards. You can see what the level bonus is on the right side of the middle bar at the top of the screen.
