Momozono (桃園, ももぞの?), full name Satomi Momozono (桃園里美, ももぞの さとみ?), is a second year student at Nekketsu High School. She frequently acts as the manager and cheerleader for Nekketsu High School in sporting events. Momozono is described as being energetic and lively, though at times is known to be clumsy.

She is a childhood friend of Sanjūrō Sugata and middle school classmate of Hiroko Morisawa. Although she claims to be a fan of Kunio, she actually likes Sugata and calls him "San" as a cutesy nickname.

Upon winning the tournament, Morisawa is glad that they've won and believes she'll finally be able to get the attention of recruiters, so she thanks Momozono for helping her out. Momozono appears confused and initially wonders how many recruiters are in the volleyball industry, though she embarrassingly admits to Morisawa that she believes that volleyball and beach volleyball are too different from each other, which leaves Morisawa in shock. Momozono further states that no recruiters actually came to the tournament and leaves Morisawa in tears as she thinks her efforts have gone to waste. Momozono attempts to comfort Morisawa by saying that her efforts made for good practice.

River City: Knights of Justice[]

River City Super Sports Challenge ~All Stars Special~[]

This remake of Super-Awesome Field Day re-imagines the events of that game. The story takes place after River City: Rival Showdown.

In the story mode, Momozono is first seen firing the cap gun during Nekketsu High School's screening to start the cross-country race and acts as the master of ceremonies (MC). She is then seen with Kunio, Sugata and Nanase congratulating the freshmen for passing the screening and then introduces herself as the team's manager. When the team is informed by Hiroshi during practice on the following day that Reihō Academy students were coming, Reika Gojōin, Masao Kobayashi and Takashi Onizuka arrive shortly after for their practice match. Thinking that the practice match against Reihō was supposed to happen the following week, Sugata asks Momozono what happened, to which she believes that she's accidentally mixed the dates up and apologizes to the team. She then explains the rules of the three other programs to the freshmen before the match starts and wishes the team good luck.

Before the first round of the preliminaries, Momozono comes rushing to the team to inform them of bombs falling on the field, though Kunio disregards the problem and chooses to move forward. During the ending of the round, Momozono cheerfully comes out to congratulate Sugata and Nanase, though Sugata notices a bomb thrown behind her and knocks her out of the way to protect her from the explosion. With Sugata injured, Momozono gets up from the ground and begins to tear up. On the second round of the qualifiers, Momozono informs Hayato Ichijō that he'll need to fill in for Sugata as he's currently hospitalized. Ichijō appears reluctant and tries to think of a way to sneak away and go home, though Momozono believes he'll be fine and encourages him to participate as he's been present at practice. When Ichijō and the new freshman walk off, she begins to question to herself if everything will turn out fine.

Momozono is later seen with the team at Nekketsu's booth before the first match waiting for Kunio to arrive and appears worried that he has not yet shown up even though they're well past schedule. Momozono begins to go into a panic when the tournament's rules are changed by Mamoru Tōdō stating that the team's captain must be present in order to continue participating. With Tōdō showing up to inform the team that they'll be disqualified within the next five minutes because Kunio is yet to show up, she tells the team that they have no other choice but to select a new captain. With the new freshman being chosen as the team's new captain, Momozono regains hope and cheers on the team. During the ending of the first match, Momozono informs the team that Kunio was hospitalized due to a sudden stomachache.

During the semi-finals, Momozono informs Kunio, Sugata and the new freshman that Hanazono High School and the School Union are fighting hard in the consolation match and reads off the rest of the competing teams. She mentions four separate teams from Reihō Academy to the shock of Sugata and suggests that they'll be a tough opponent. When Reika, Kobayashi and Onizuka return to the school to gloat about their team's strength, Momozono expresses her frustration with the three once they leave. At the beginning of the finals, Momozono appears anxious about having made it so far, though manages to keep her composure. During the ending of the tournament, Ichijō appears upset that he was unable to meet any girls from other schools during the tournament with Noboru Takamine coming to the conclusion that it was because they were unable to take the spotlight. Momozono shoots down their claims by suggesting that everyone tried their best and have done well, though struggles to think of where Ichijō excelled in when asked by him.

Downloadable content released for the game allowed players to use the Cheering Girls (Cheerleader in the localized version of the game) team, which is led by Hasebe, includes Kōzuki (Reihou's Director of the Broadcasting Division), the cheerleaders of the default teams (Mami, Aihara and Kirishima), and Momozono being included in the team as well. Momozono uses Sugata's Bomb Punch and Nanase's Double Chop.

River City: Rival Showdown[]

River City: Rival Showdown is a remake of Downtown Nekketsu Story. The game takes place before River City Super Sports Challenge ~All Stars Special~.

Momozono can be seen hanging around Nekketsu High School at various times of the day, where she'll often be worrying about Sugata. During the third day, if the player does not go to Kobayashi's abandoned factory on time, Momozono will get angry with Kunio asking where he was while Reihō Academy students were wreaking havoc at the school. When more Reihō students show up, Kunio asks Momozono to go look for Sugata at the hospital. Once the Reihō students are defeated, Momozono returns to thank Kunio for still showing up to defend the school.

River City Melee Mach!![]

River City Saga: Three Kingdoms[]

Momozono plays the role of Tian Nu, an original character that is the spirit of the Peach Garden Tree.

In the story mode, she will first appear during the beginning of the first chapter and give some money to support Guan Yu (Kunio), Liu Bei (Gōda), and Zhang Fei (Godai) as they begin their journey. Tian Nu comes up with "Brothers of the Peach Garden" as the group's team name and asks them to send any royalty invoices to the Peach Garden, as she is the copyright holder.

During the second chapter, Guan Yu is able to take a side quest from a young girl in Pingyuan asking him if spirits are real and if he's met one before. If Guan Yu claims that they are real, the kid will ask him to not lie just to make her happy and demand that he shows proof. Guan Yu will then head to the Peach Garden and request for Tian Nu, though she will only come outside if he states that he has a question regarding their royalties. Guan Yu will ask if she can help provide him proof that spirits are real, to which she appears confused that they aren't talking about royalties but agrees to help anyway as she's already there. Tian Nu hands Guan Yu a heavenly peach and tells him that it's no ordinary peach, as one bite would be able to make someone a sage. Guan Yu appears concerned of the little girl actually turning into a sage, though Tian Nu insists that he needs to bring her something mystical. Guan Yu thanks Tian Nu for the help, to which she forgets about the royalty payments and leaves. When playing on the comedy route, Tian Nu will send out a letter to Liu Bei applauding the brothers for standing up against Lu Bu (Misuzu), though voices her concerns for their poor reputation. Tian Nu demands that they stop Dong Zhuo (Sabu)'s "Project Abobo" in Luoyang or else she will start charging double on their royalty fees.

In the China Heroes gamemode, Momozono alerts the player of the incoming enemies for the current stage they're on.

River City Girls 2[]

Momozono retains her previous role as a clerk at Cream Dream in Crosstown. In this game, Momozono is referred to by her given name instead of her surname.
