Naritaka is a character who was first featured in River City Girls. He is a pre-teen who admires Riki and is training to become as strong as him.
Appearances[]
River City Girls[]
Naritaka debuts in River City Girls as someone Misako and Kyōko run into while in Downtown. He is voiced by Nathan Sharp.
Noticing that he's younger than most, Misako questions why he's in the area to which he responds that he's currently training to become as tough as Riki as he views him as his hero. Kyoko excitedly questions if he's talking about the Riki she knows with Naritaka happily confirming they're talking about the same person. Misako notices his condition and questions if he's had any success in fighting, though Naritaka confirms that he's been unable to hit anyone himself. He asks the two girls if they're training and is impressed with they describe their combat skills. Kyoko informs him that Riki has been kidnapped and may have been brought here which shocks Naritaka. He responds saying that he has not seen Riki but goes on to tell them about the rumor of a kidnapper living in the abandoned subway terminal and that he may have been the one responsible.
River City Girls 2[]
Naritaka appears as a clerk at his own makeshift shop in River City High's bathroom named "Naritaka's Toiletries". He is voiced by Todd Haberkorn in English and remains uncredited in the Japanese dub.
Trivia[]
- Naritaka was originally intended to be Sugata, though was unable to be used and was instead made into an original character.
- In River City Girls, he will always face away from the player similar to what Sugata would do to Momozono during the ending of Downtown Nekketsu Baseball Monogatari: Yakyū de Shōbu da! Kunio-kun.
