Talia al Ghul is a supporting character of the Harley Quinn animated series and the mother of Batman's son Damian Wayne.

Appearance[]

Talia is a tall slender woman with an olive complexion, blue eyes, and distinctive black eyebrows. She has brunette shoulder-length hair and wears red lipstick.

Talia wears a pink sleeveless top, a black belt, white jeans pants and high heels. She also wears red gem pendant on a necklace.

Background[]

Talia al Ghul is the daughter of Ra's al Ghul and raised as part of the League of Assassins. At some point she met and began a love affair with Batman, resulting in the birth of their son, Damian Wayne. Talia raised Damian to be part of the League of Assassins at a young age but he later left to fight alongside his father as the vigilante Robin.

Talia sits in the shadows, watching as a news anchor retells of LexCorp's stocks have gone up, causing Wayne Enterprises' to plummet in Bruce Wayne's absence. Talia picks up her phone, announcing she is going to Gotham City.

Talia congratulates Ivy on her victory over Lex, but revels that she is still a major supporter of Lex as she states it is good for business and she also planned to attend his birthday party on the moon. When Ivy tris to kill Lex at the party Talia cuts ties with her and watches Lex beat Ivy up. Seeing that she isn't interested in making a difference Ivy, Harley and Batgirl used Lex's Ray Gun to destroy many villain runed businesses in Gotham including Talia's ownerships of Wayne Enterprises. As she leaves the moon on her rocket Talia sees the devastation caused by her former friend and is both confused and outraged. Talia is also shown to be indoctrinating Damian in the ways of the League of Assassins. Talia is revealed to have stolen Nightwing's corpse and reanimated him in the Lazarus Pit, where he immediately swears his revenge against Harley as Talia smiles wickedly.

Personality[]

Talia al Ghul is a serious businesswoman who most of the time she seems emotionless. She is a confident and strong woman who doesn't let herself be trampled in the "world of men". She is highly respected and even Lex Luthor, who mostly has sexist prejudices toward women, shows a better trait than with others seeing her as an equal. Despite her apparent apathy, she can also be friendly and a good companion with those who have gained her respect, such as Poison Ivy, giving Ivy her personal phone number and advices of how to have success in her new job as the Legion of Doom CEO.

She, however, is also ruthless and can be a cold-blooded murderer when needs to be. Talia spent an entire decade overthrowing foreign governments and killed four consecutive HOA presidents, all of them beheaded by herself. She also coldly murdered two employees of Wayne Enterprises solely because she didn't like their new proposition to renew the company. Despite her ruthlessness, Talia can also show some genuine kindness, when she meets Ivy at the MalCon she affectionately gives her a hug and later sends some presents to her office after her perfomance in the expo.

Despite this, Talia lacks of maternal instincts and is clueless about of how to be a mother. When she arrives to Wayne Manor, Talia is surprised to see Damian grown up and wondered when he left his diapers, she also believes her son is still at age of using a pacifier trying to buy a few despite Damian being a 12-year-old boy, and gave him as a birthday gift a rattle and doesn't know his birthday since she gave Damian that present five months after his actual date of birth. However she at least care for her son enough to take him with her for his safety, sending a couple of her people with the order to take Damian to her place after the death of Nightwing.

Talia is down-to-earth and unlike Ivy is more pragmatic and less delusional. She is aware that the rules in the world of business cannot be changed and instead of defying and trying to change them she plays her cards with cleverness. When Ivy is considering to kill the Joker, Talia told her that instead doing it she could use him for her benefit comparing him as a cockroach but claiming that he would be "her cockroach". Despite this, Talia can be vindictive, seeking revenge on Harley and Ivy for destroying a building of Wayne Enterprises that contained most of her ownerships by taking Nightwing's corpse and resurrecting with the purpose of killing Ivy and Harley.

Powers and Abilities[]

• Master Assassin: As the daughter of Ra's al Ghul and co-leader of the League of Assassins, Talia is an expert of killing people. She beheaded four HOA presidents by herself. In a reunion with some of Wayne Enterprises' employees she killed two of them only using a pen and a small-size knife throwing hem from distance.
• Expert Combatant: Talia is at least capable of disarming a man with her bear hands. She effortlessly immobilized Nightwing who tried to stop her from taking away their stuff.
• Skilled Businesswoman: Talia is a part of the Evil Women in Business collective and runs Wayne Enterprises in Bruce Wayne's absence.
