Great service for the price!

I was wasting money with GoDaddy's hosting plans. They nickel and dime you around every corner. You get much more bang for your buck with DreamHost and I've not been disappointed with any of their products.

DreamHost is a good hosting site

I appreciate the support team from DreamHost. Respectful and prompt service. This hosting site is user-friendly, very simple to go about and starting up your own website. I have recommended this to some of my friends who are also interested in building a website. Thank you and may more to come.

Customer support was amazing

I needed assistance for becoming PCI Compliant, and customer support answered every question in a timely and knowledgeable manner. They helped my site become compliant, and assisted with any other question that may have come up. For the support alone, I give DreamHost 5 stars.

They deliver what they offer.

I found DreamHost while searching for a hosting company that was not using cPanel. Their CP is custom made, easy to use. Support staff is very helpful.

Excellent

I recently joined the dreamhost family and I'm pleased. The client service has been responsive and quick. The prices are great for the high level of offerings. I am looking forward to using dreamhost for my business.

Great service, awful servers

I just moved here from FatCow because of poor and awfully slow technical support. Initially, my website was x3 slower than when hosted on FatCow. Now after uninstalled and removing about half of my website functionality and removing all security related plug-ins, my site is only x2 as slow as FatCow (on par with FatCow when using Caching, which I didn't need to use at Fatcow). I continue to get timeouts, HTTP 500 server errors, and very poor performance from the shared hosting. I pre-paid for a year, so after that ends, I will be looking for a better shared hosting provider or possibly returning to FatCow. If you only have a simple Wordpress blog and you're not using any plug-ins and have a low visitor count, then the shared hosting might work fine for you. If you're a small blog (< 1000 pageviews a day) and try to optimize your site with caching, minifying, SEO, etc. then expect to run into memory related problems.

Helpful, but slow

The customer service has been helpful and the controls given to me to manage my site are very thorough, but not very user friendly. My main concern is that the package I purchased advertised itself as great for Wordpress websites. However, each page loads so slowly, it's very unprofessional to my users. I hardly have any content on my site yet it loads each page far too slowly. I hate to think how slow it will become when I have had this site for a year or two to build up content. I fail to see how any Wordpress installation could be considered "great" at this speed.

Recommend DreamHost.

Dreamhost is a great hosting company that has assisted with my various website. When my website completely crashed, they were able to walk me through restoring it with minor hiccups. It take a little while to chat with someone live, but once you do, your issue is solved. I recommend them highly. (not to mention the price is great!)

Excellent web hosting experience

Very nice web hosting service, I didn't have to call for support because of their well written wikis and guides.

What makes this service to be the best for me, is their supporting of Python libraries and their easy setup process. I could set my website up and running the same day my account was activated. Excellent!

Massively outdated MySQL

Should have read the fine print better... Who'd have believed Dreamhost would still be running an extremely out-of-date version of MySQL with no option to use anything newer. Very disappointing.

Best Deal

I've been using either domain.com or godaddy to host my sites for the past several years, but got tired of how slow their servers are. Finally I decided to try dreamhost and the difference is amazing!
