Barbarian Build Guide
A Barbarian build can be a potent choice in Enshrouded, though it’s far from overpowered. It’s effective but tricky to get the most out of it. However, for players who want to maximize this build’s potential, there are ways to overcome its shortcomings and play into its strengths, especially at higher levels. This build guide will show you the best Armor, Weapons, and Skills to obtain throughout your adventure to lean into this Barbarian build.
Tips for Creating a Barbarian Build in Enshrouded
A Barbarian build in Enshrouded focuses on high damage output, decent mobility, and a healthy balance of stamina and health. Your primary goal is to kill foes before they have the chance to kill you, and you’ll achieve that by wielding massive, two-handed weapons that can crush enemies in the fewest possible strikes. Here are a few tips to keep in mind that will help you get the most out of the build.
Use Jump Attacks
Jump Attack deals additional damage and counts as a critical strike, which triggers the Battle Heal skill, awarding you with a 5% heal. It's especially effective if you take the Jump Attack II and Double Jump skills for extra damage.
Jump attacks also deal damage in a wide area around your point of impact, so it’s possible to wipe out entire waves of enemies with a single attack. Your Battle Heal skill will trigger for each hit, healing you 5% for each hit you land.
Stack Strength, Constitution, and Health Regeneration
You’ll need plenty of Strength to dish out maximum damage, but it will also take Constitution and Health Regeneration to make this build work. You want a decent pool of hit points because you’ll have to take plenty of damage. Your health regeneration will keep you in the action, and Good Metabolism will maximize how much you get out of Health Potions. Meat Wraps, Open Sandwiches, Chamomile Tea, and Fruit Bowls are all great choices, and since you'll have the Dessert Stomach skill, you can have all four!
Don’t Neglect Your Bow
There are many enemies in Enshrouded that you simply can’t hit in melee, so you’ll need to put a few points into your Dexterity where possible to squeeze more damage out of it. That said, your skill points are precious, and many skills need to be directed elsewhere to get the most out of this build. Ranged combat is definitely a weakpoint with this build.
Don’t Rely on Stuns
This build excels at defeating enemies long before you have the chance to stun them. As a result, it doesn’t take certain skills that buff stuns, such as Merciless Attack and Shockwave. Instead, focus on raw damage output and rely on your Jump Attack to churn out damage.
Armor
The best suit of armor for a Barbarian is the Radiant Paladin set you’ll find in Sun Temples in the late game. Until then, your best bet is to lean into the armor sets like the Adventurer or Soldier that provide similar benefits. Here’s each piece of the Radiant Paladin set, along with the bonuses it provides.

Weapons
Your best bet for weapons in this build is any two-handed weapon until you get to the Kindlewastes. At the maximum level, two-handed weapons have a base damage output of 70. However, when you do get to the Kindlewastes, you can find an incredible two-handed hammer called Dreadbane that deals a massive 94 damage before upgrades. You’ll find it during the Underground Infestation side quest.
Skills
The skills for this build require careful curation as you need to maximize your damage output with both two-handed weapons and the bow. You also need to pick up many skills that provide additional attack options and it helps to select skills from the Survivor tree as well. Here are all the skills you should pick up by the time you have 105 skill points.
