After he learns about The Woods, Andre starts to put all his effort in trying to find out the truth behind the suicide of Luke and how he became mentally insane. Powers and Abilities[]

Powers[]

  • Magnetism Manipulation:

Andre possesses competent magnetism manipulation abilities, which enables him to control magnetism and magnetic fields with his hands. He is able to fully control metal and completely reshape it entirely; though he typically has to gesture with his hands in order to centralize the effects. According to Vought, the weight limit of his magnetic manipulation is 12 tons.
    • Technopathy: Resulting from his magnetism manipulation, Andre is able to control magnetic metals within hardware, software, and motherboards, allowing varying degrees of manipulation over relevant tech. He is able to override magnetic locks and fingerprint readers.
  • Superhuman Strength: Andre possesses superhuman strength, which makes him stronger than humans and some Supes. Despite being a top-ranked student at Godolkin University, he is not as physically powerful as the other top ten; Vought's official file lists his maximum bench press at 350 pounds. Nevertheless, with one hand, he nearly chokes Rufus to death, completely impeding his movement. Moreover, a punch from him can send Supes, such as Sam Riordan, flying back several feet.
  • Superhuman Durability:

Andre possesses superhuman durability, making him more durable than humans and most Supes. To compensate for his strength, he is remarkably durable; in his father's words, "We're made of steel." As a result, he is one of the tougher top-ranked students at Godolkin University, only being surpassed by Jordan Li's male form and Golden Boy. He withstands numerous beatings from a frenzied Sam, recovering from them immediately and with no injuries.
  • Superhuman Hearing: Andre possesses superhuman hearing, allowing him to hear better than humans. Like all Supes, he can hear higher frequencies that humans cannot.[2]

Abilities[]

  • Gifted Intelligence: Andre is highly clever and intelligent, with an IQ in the 120 range according to Vought's official file.

Weaknesses[]

Biological[]

  • Brain Lesions: Using his powers too much runs the risk of him developing brain lesions. Andre's father had already developed brain lesions which resulted in him having a seizure.
  • High Frequencies: Due to being a Supe, Andre is susceptible to high frequencies. When a high frequency is playing, it can induce immense pain and temporarily neutralize him. While investigating The Woods, Andre is momentarily neutralized through the use of a high-frequency emitting device by a Woods guard.

Relationships[]

Trivia[]

  • Shane Paul Mcghie was originally announced in 2021 to be playing the role before the role was recast for Perdomo. The reasons for the recasting were supposedly due to the long development time that went into the show as well as creative changes made for the character and the entire show in the process.[3]
  • Andre is the first and so far only TV Show character to be permanently retired due to the death of their actor.
  • On May 5th, 2024, the Gen V Instagram account confirmed that Andre Anderson would not be recast. Instead, they're recrafting Season 2's storyline while honoring Chance's legacy.[4]
