James Lewis (ジェームス・ルイス Jēmusu Ruisu), better known as Jimmy (ジミー), or even Jimmy Lee, is a playable character and one of the main protagonists in the one-on-one fighting game Rage of the Dragons. After the death of his girlfriend, Mariah, he abandoned his younger brother, Billy, and became a famous street fighter, both for the money and the thrill. He returns to Sunshine City after feeling the resonance of an evil dragon spirit.
He is loosely based on Jimmy Lee, one of the main protagonists of the Double Dragon franchise.
History[]
Jimmy is the older brother of Billy who accompanied him on many adventures in the city. However, both brothers soon grew tired of the physical abuse and moved to Sunshine City with their uncle. There, both brothers were introduced to Master Lee Song, who taught them the Ryu Zui Ken techniques. Jimmy was taught the ways of the "Red Dragon" to prepare him for the trials he would have to face.
Unlike his younger brother, Jimmy has always been involved with the local gangs. A powerful gang, whom Jimmy refused to join, killed his lover, Mariah. Enraged, he and Billy defeated every member of the gang in vengeance. However, once he hears that his brother was involved with her death, he broke off all ties with Billy by leaving Lee Song's dojo and Sunshine City.
Jimmy continues his life as a famous street fighter, both for the money and the thrill. He got the scar across his face after he was badly injured by an unknown fighter. Due to his training with the Red Dragon spirit, Jimmy eventually returns to Sunshine City as he felt the resonance of an evil dragon. He reluctantly enters the tournament with Sonia, who followed him to his old home.
In both of his endings, he visits Mariah's grave and refuses anyone's help. He is confident that he can defeat the "Black Dragon" by himself.
Personality[]
Jimmy is a hot-tempered rebel who hates to follow anyone's rules but his own. Although he seems to act otherwise, he personally blames himself for Mariah's death and his broken relationship with his brother.
Powers[]
- Pyrokinesis: Using the power of the Red Dragon, Jimmy can control fire. He can create fire from thin air, create fire balls, deliver punches of fire, create pillars of fire, and put his own body on fire. He is not immune to other types of fire, though. He cannot control other fires that he didn't create.
Fighting style[]
Like Billy, Jimmy is considered to be a balanced character that primarily uses punches. He is the stronger and slightly slower of the duo.

- Jimmy appears as a hidden playable character in Power Instinct Matrimelee.
- His moves look to be an amalgam of Terry Bogard, Kyo Kusanagi and Ryu's fighting styles.
