~ Description from the Double Dragon III manual |
America (referred to as U.S.A. in the NES/Famicom version) is the first mission in Double Dragon 3: The Rosetta Stone and Double Dragon III: The Sacred Stones.
Overview[]
The Double Dragons, as usual, begin their adventure on the city streets fighting gang members, this time called the Neo Black Warriors and leaded by Jim, who is none other than Willy Mackey's brother and who wants to exact revenge on the brothers for his supposed death at their hands.
In the NES version of the game, the level starts inside the Lee brothers' dojo, which has been overrun by Jim and his gang. They find Brett, one of their students, badly injured lying on the floor. With his last breath, he tries to tell the brothers who was the perpetrator of this attack, but passes on before he can finish. With the little information they have, the Lees set to the streets to find more clues.
