Expanded Universe

Roka Paramia (ロカ・パラミア) is an Arrancar and was formerly a nurse in Sōsuke Aizen's affiliated army as well as a former Fracción of the 8th Espada Szayelaporro Granz.

Appearance[]

Roka is a rather slim individual with medium length black hair and grey eyes. Her mask fragments take the form of half a skull covering the right half of her face. When in the service of Aizen in Hueco Mundo, she wears a long green striped dress with a turtle neck, and black boots.[1][2]

While in disguise in the Human World, she wears a rather fancy dress with a large hat to hide her Hollow mask fragments.

Personality[]

She is initially very passive and loyal to Szayelaporro, accepting her fate as his tool, broken mentally upon continuous torturing and resurrection. However much later, she slowly begins to realize her worth once Don Kanonji begins to build a friendship with her. She also feels regretful for getting Don Kanonji involved with a dangerous character like her.

History[]

Bleach: Spirits Are Forever With You[]

Prior to becoming a Números, Roka was a white, spider-like Adjuchas Hollow, born from Szayelaporro Granz' successful attempts to create an artificial Menos. At some point before becoming an Arrancar, around 250 years before Sōsuke Aizen's defeat, Roka was sent to the Rukongai by Szayelaporro alongside several weaker Hollows so he could observe the Shinigami in combat.[3]

Bleach: Can't Fear Your Own World[]

Powers & Abilities[]

Backup: This ability allows Roka to use threads of made of Negación to store or transfer information. She is able to duplicate her own soul and memories through the threads spread around Hueco Mundo. The stones, quartz trees, and walls of Las Noches act like a backup hard dive. Her threads are able to redirect a Cero, reattach her limbs, and can be fashioned into a katana.[4]

High-Speed Regeneration: Roka is able to regenerate herself, but is slower then that of Ulquiorra's.[4]

High Spiritual Power: As an Arrancar and former Fracción, Roka has some amount of spiritual power.

Zanpakutō[]

RokaRessureccion

Telaraña released.

Telaraña (絡新妖婦 (テイルレニア), Teirurenia; Spanish for "Spiderweb", Japanese for "Jorō Spider Seductress"): Roka's Zanpakutō is actually her mask remnant itself.[5]

  • Resurrección: Telaraña's release command is "Dance Madly" (踊り狂え, odori kurue).[4] In her released form, she gains four large spider legs with cloth wrapped around parts of them, as well as cloth covering the half of her face where her mask is, plus parts of her arms and legs. Her stomach, arms, and legs are bare.[5]
Resurrección Special Ability: Roka's Resurrección allows her to replicate any attack she has gathered data on. She is able to use Dordoni's El Uno Picotear, Cirucci's Ala Cortadola Dispersion, Luppi's Hierro Virgen, Zommari's Gemelos Sonído, Nelliel's Cero Doble, and even Ichigo's Mugetsu, the last of which was powerful enough to gravely injure Cien Granz.[5]

Weaknesses[]

Resurrección[]

Self-damage: The stronger the technique she uses, the more likely she will damage herself or tear her own body apart. Using Cero Doble caused her visible pain (though she was swallowing a Gran Rey Cero rather than a normal one), and upon using Mugetsu, her body completely fell apart, requiring the use of her threads and willpower to pull herself back together.[5]

Imperfect Replication: Roka's copied abilities are not perfect; for instance, her Gemelos Sonído only generates a maximum of four clones, as opposed to Zommari Rureaux's five. By her own admission, she cannot replicate the powers of the Hōgyoku without the orb itself, nor Baraggan Louisenbairn's Senescencia with her threads alone.[5]
