Great Customer Support - Always Helpful!

I've been using Namecheap for a few years now and whenever I've run into an issue, their live chat support has been fantastic. The agents are always friendly and quick to help, resolving my problems efficiently. This has happened a few times over the years, and it's consistent! Definitely a plus for Namecheap's customer service.

The Best Hosting Service so far

Namecheap has been the best, most inexpensive, most responsive web host that I've used over decades of experience.

The best part is when I get into trouble. The responders are right on top of whatever issue I have and resolve it not just quickly but also very satisfactorily.

After weeks of not being able to access my website through my Internet provider (but could through a smart phone network), I transferred my website to Namecheap. They helped me work through the problems and it got back up today. Without their help, I would have been stuck for months.

Namecheap tends to be extremely drama free, giving excellent service and hosting without all the headaches.

Pricing is not competitive and email forwarding is unreliable

As others stated not only over time their pricing structure is no longer competitive but their free offerings with each domain is also lacking. For example, they added a free email forwarding feature at one point since almost everyone else had it but their is unreliable. It can take hours to receive an email, if you even receive it.

At this time I can't see any reason to use this domain registrar. However, just to be clear it's not that they are unusable as a registrar, apart from their email forwarding, it simply that they offer generally less than their competitor at a higher price.

Unbelievable customer service

I'm pretty new to actual web hosting. I've ran a blog for a while, but never self-hosted. I messed up so many things through trial and error and ended up breaking some SSL stuff. I had no idea where to go from there. I honestly expected the customer service to be terrible but the person who helped me was insanely patient. They walked me through every little step of the way and we got everything squared away a lot quicker than I expected. They have a very personal, small business feel to them - at least in the way of customer service. I will never buy my domains or hosting anywhere else. They made a customer for life through excellent customer service.

You turn off auto-renewal for every…

You turn off auto-renewal for every domain you own... yet, namecheap like to randomly reset it to their default auto-renew on. When you check your expiring/expired tab, it resets the auto-renewal to on. This in my opinion is a scam. If I set my auto-renewal to OFF, it should stay that way until I manually change it. I have been a customer 15 years, and now have made the decision to leave altogether. Sure its alot of work on my part, but I will not allow a company to deceive me even just once.

There was a time when this company was good, and I would reccommend. But now... absolutely not!

Namecheap Support chat is the very best there is. Their vpn service is atrocious. They request an ID or drivers and selfie to verify a vpn service? They refuse to cancel without providing your personal ID. This is ridiculous. You are stealing from customers. How am I supposed to cancel this monthly service???? I can't login without proving ID.

Horrible market place service

HOrrible market place service. I tryed to place a bid on a domain name. They asked me to pay $5 to place my bid. I paid the $5, then asked me to pay upfront $100 for a domain wont exceed $15. I refused to fund my account for a minimum of $100 because the domain name is cheap. I was not able to place the bid, then asked for a refund of the $5 but they refuse. So they stole $5 from my pocket for no reason.
